I get nervous for nice bikes sometimes... Depends on the location and how long it has to stay left alone... For me, I'd be on edge the whole time shopping or whatever, if I were out of line of sight, and it wasn't locked up well. I lost a great bike (that was on loan to me) to thieves on a Max train, 'cause I was lazy and took a seat, then so many people boarded that I lost line of sight, and it was taken within 2 stops. However, I completely applaud your faith in humanity, at least locally speaking... This proves how great and safe and sane our society is, no fear-mongering around here!
