Hey, do u happen to know if anyone is selling a wi-fi single (pass-thru) power socket adapter or p/strip that can be controlled wirelessly ??

Hi Emett, thank you for yr feedback and general positivity. I work with a guy called Tom Rosser - he is our local guru in our little group of software developers - we have been working in free internet and mobilephone apps for emergency medicine disaster locations around the world since Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. Tom is our lateral thinker. We are trying to develop a suite of PC, Mac and cellphone apps to help in the planet heating issue - which we feel is a looming disaster (whether human-made/geological progression or a combination). We want to give the sw downloads away free and an ultra cheap single power-socket sensor - if we can. We are not hardware guys, so we have been scouring the climate-passionate folks for direction, guidance, feedback, referrals, anything ! - thats how I found treehugger - in a round abt way, cos we r lookin for an open-source social net pltform to work on - if we r gonna give for free to all - Ning, we guess, wud not be an option - since they want half of any $$ comin in - this will be modest, as in our model, all we hve is possbly only ad sponsors, or some derivative of same. Anyway, i go on vacation nxt couple days. I hve asked tom to sign-up, keep learning from ur site in my absence - i may need an operation, so i may be out of action for short (hopefully) time only. I hope u dont mind, i passed yr name on to him - he is soooo appreciative of ur guidance - we r not wealthy folks, and hve been getting the runaround from electronics design companies with big $$$ in their eyes soon as we mention we want to build som climate tech devices ! we do hve some money to pay our way, we know enuff to know wi-fi enabling a power relay ain't rocket science - we r happy to pay a reasonable fee for some prototypes. Take care - i will be in touch down the track - keep up ur grt work, ur planet needs u now more than ever.

Thank you for the welcome. I searched for "green solutions" and ning - that is how I found this site. I like many of the Ning forums I have com across in the past, so decided to look for more. Hope that helps you for getting higher traffic?
