Here is the Energy Saving website from the Energy Trust of Oregon.

I haven't checked this out fully, but this is good stuff. Energy companies are taking action. We shouldn't have so much wasted energy. At night we're not even using all the power on the grids, and in the day, we use it but then drafty homes and clogged ducts etc cause us to use even more. And the more power that goes through the lines, the less efficient they get (heating, expanding), and I just read that over 50% of our (US) total electricity produced is lost in transmission.

I think we ought to be saving the extra power at night by... I'll make a new discussion about the ideas I've come up with... I'd love to be in the power production industry...
